The Move

The blog you are about to read has been created for the purpose of keeping my family, friends and enemies (not that I have any) aware of my goings-on in Abbotsford.

The Move

The trip was an absolute blast! The three of us (Vic, me, and our GPS, which we lovingly named Gail Prudence Seville) left at 7 am on Monday morning. The majority of our trip was spent singing at the top of our lungs (worship music, a variety of musicals, the Beatles, and Queen) consuming a steady diet of grease, salt, and fat (as one does when on a road trip), and wondering how on earth Faintheart (from the story of Affabel) could be surprised that Slander said nasty untrue things about her... or that Mr. Double-Life wasn't exactly what he appeared to be (in a world where someone's name clearly shows their biggest sin issue, you'd think people would catch on. Apparently not).

Driving in the mountains is amazing, though I must admit that Vic did all of the BC driving. As soon as we switched, the accelerator stuck. This was, of course, a little frightening. Upon switching again, the accelerator acted normally. Heh, what are the chances that that would happen only for the fifteen minutes I drove in BC? Odd.

Also, Vic was a little angry at Gail as we went backwards on a road (which still has no discernable purpose as far as I can tell) for 14 miles before getting back on the Highway we were supposed to be on. I tried accepting the blame, but the grudge still continues.

Quick Tidbit: We saw a very Canadian movie at a hotel we stopped at called "The Wrong Guy" (the name of the movie, not the hotel). Too funny.

Now we're finally in Abbotsford. I've still got to properly move everything, find out how to get around in this city, get ready for school, find a church, and find out where things are in this house... but everything will be figured out in time. I need to patient.

Thanks to everyone for praying for safety for us as we travelled out there. God protected us, and I greatly look forward to whatever He has for me to do here. Love you all!
